I believe the leaders of the education system are actually aware of this, but what they aren’t aware of is the awareness of US, or the power that awareness will posses.
As with awareness provokes thought, thought provokes ideas and ideas inspire action.

It is time is enhance our education system. Never has there been a more prominent time of change and development, of not only our planet but more significantly the human species. I’m 17 years old, and before you make conjectures based on my image or my age, I humbly ask but for a few minutes of your time and your mind, while you stay consciously aware of one fact; having an open mind and assimilating the power of awareness and ideas.
I dropped out of school about half a year ago to pursue my dreams and educate myself in relevant areas to achieve them, unfortunately this fell within an area school did not support. I was in my last year, and I was extremely pleased and somewhat proud of myself that I had made it this far, I attended on my own personal will. I wanted to learn; something of inexplicable importance. Yet I was pushed away. Why? Simply put, it was because of how I look. Because of the beads in my hair, the piercing on my face, the holes in my ears and the shoes I never wore. I understand the disagreements you may have towards these things, but again I beg, transcend beyond the frameworks of your mind and question with me: ‘Why it is that individuality, expression and to some extent creativity are ridiculed in our education system?’ Is it not these crucial traits of character which are evident in all influential minds and movements in history? How do those in charge fail to see what they are taking away from the our generation. How can we expect positive development of our species and society when they disparage individuality, creativity and expression? How and more importantly WHY does this mismatch with education?
Education should NOT, and I repeat it should NOT be hindered by one’s appearance or form of expression. Schools and the education system urgently need to be awoken to significance the improvements of allowing individuality, expression and creativity will have for our generation as well as generations to come.
Throughout their schooling, students have a broader selection of subjects then ever before. This is a wise and appropriate start to enhancing the education system as it allows and induces students to learn and apply their valuable thoughts within their personal interest, which is of stupendous importance. When a student is constantly required to apply their thoughts and educate themselves in an area they are not interested in for years and years, they develop a highly negative approach to learning. I have seen this countless times throughout my school years, and within myself. I believe this to explain a high percentage of drop-outs and problems in society. Wanting to learn is a trait of paramount importance. I understand and acknowledge that the current education system has succeeded in creating a somewhat successful society, but I must also stress and emphasize the ever increasing changing times and evolutionary development that recent scientific studies have popularized calls for change, and that many great minds in human history were educated in areas that schools do not teach. Such as applying and organizing their thoughts of creativity, individuality and originality of ideas. But is the risk of comprising the amazing minds and pushing them away from curiosity and their passion worth it? Simply to develop a safe and factorized, regimented education system of whom a small percentage really end up supplying a positive and influential contribution towards society.
The leaders of our education system must now open their eyes, and their ears to the students of the newer generations. The next step to enhance the education system lies within my previous statement. When they search for, listen to and allow the personal interests of students to unite with their education, the results will be revolutionary. When passion is found, a desire to learn will engender, and furthermore when students are taught how to organize the knowledge they resolutely require, the education system will see significant improvement. These changes may seem small, however, the substantial effects they will have on a student’s learning will revise their idea of, and attitude towards eduction.
When creativity, individuality and all forms of expression are accepted, embraced and connected with education, we enter a higher stage of evolutionary development as people and as a society. Education by imputing set ways of thinking into each student is not going to grow a healthy generation of individual, creative and open minds. These attributes are crucial for the complex and fast-moving future we are all getting thrown into. It is not just allowing but nurturing the inner journey of self discovery and development of one’s self that will build a steady foundation of prepared, competent beings for the time ahead.
